Vocal physiotherapy
Vocal physio is a unique hands on treatment to help professional voice users experiencing vocal health symptoms. These symptoms can arise for singers and professional speakers such as teachers, lawyers and fitness coaches. Some of the symptoms could be as follows;
Vocal fatigue
Increased effort
Loss of vocal range
Vocal tension
Voice cracking
Change in vocal quality - husky, hoarse tones
Tongue tension
Pain when singing/speaking
During your assessment, causes of these symptoms may be identified and an appropriate treatment plan can then be prescribed. The treatment approach is paired with thorough assessment of spinal posture and mobility, breathing mechanics, sinus health and abdominal support. Hands on treatment consists of soft tissue release, laryngeal mobilisations and thyroid cartilage manipulation however you will likely also be given exercises that you can complete at home.
