Toby graduated from the University of Northumbria (Newcastle) with a Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) degree. He gained experience across multiple placements including the paediatric community, musculoskeletal private clinics, orthopaedic and falls and syncope services. Over the course of these placements, Toby has developed a passion for Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and leading Parkinsons specific exercise classes. He also has interests in sports injuries and gym-based conditioning. One of the main reasons why Toby trained to be a physiotherapist is to help rehabilitate people back to their daily and sporting activities as soon as functionally possible.
Toby has further developed his skill set by completing a level 4 sports massage certification, obtaining different skills in manual therapy, such as muscle energy, soft tissue, and trigger point release techniques. He has also completed training in vestibular physiotherapy, with the ability to assess and treat vestibular pathologies such as Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). In his spare time, Toby is a keen sportsperson playing both football and cricket.
